Concept
Miccosukee Magazine TV (MMTV) is a half-hour television program that is financed and produced by the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida -- through various production companies that have been engaged -- since approximately 1998.
For most of its life, MMTV has been a talk-show format, until OTTER VISION took the reins of this program in 2010, transforming into a series of mini-documentaries. We expanded the scope so that the program tells both Miccosukee stories and South Florida stories -- thereby celebrating commonalities and respecting the differences that the Miccosukee community has with South Florida. Our themes have always been to explore Culture, History, and the Environment.

- Miccosukee Facts -- brief 1-2 minute vignettes that illustrate unique aspects of Miccosukee life: clan structure, language, political origins, philosophy, government, etc.;
- Native News -- a series of news reports with a National scope, produced by Benno Schmidt and Houston Cypress;
- Spoken Word -- performances by local poets featuring their original poetic works;
- Indigenous Rhythms -- music videos by indigenous and First Nations performance artists from the United States and Canada
